DJ Connie aka ConStar

Connie.jpeg

Connie discovered at a young age that there is nothing more magical than music. She has been a major contributor to NYC’s underground electronic scene.  Co-founding NYC’s top music brand RESOLUTE and being the original resident for nearly 15 years; mentoring and sharing the art of DJing to dozens of students; producing electronic music under the “Constar” moniker as well as Connie Yin, with releases available digitally and on vinyl, under labels such as Bedrock Records; and being heavily involved in NYC’s live music scene as a drummer, bass player, songwriter and producer in various projects, has given Connie’s career longevity and she is always evolving. Connie’s music taste is a culmination of all her life experiences, all of them special in it’s own right.  Like her hometown of NYC – smooth, real, unpretentious, intelligent, tough, with lots of attitude- she is drawn to music that reflects these qualities.  She sees beauty in dissonance and the unconventional .  Above all else, she loves music that makes you dance - that brings real raw emotion and expression, that touches deep into one’s soul and moves you. Join her as she continues to share the soundtrack of her life through the universal language of mankind.

DJ Andru P

AndruP-promo-Picture.png

Andru started DJing about four years ago. It all began with the purchase of a pair of Technic 1200’s and the love of digging for records.. There was zero intention of his craft ever becoming anything more than a hobby. When he was around the age of 26 he started going to some staple Long Island and New York City clubs to check out the scene. Watching and feeling the way the DJ was controlling the crowd made his passion for this art grow deep. As a youngster, his family was always involved in the music world. His grandfather was a saxophone and piano player and his father was a drummer. He has fond memories of his father blasting old motown records for hours every Sunday. Andru was eager to learn how to rip samples from his fathers records and later after learning how to sample with his Akai MPC, started making hip hop beats.

Andru followed his obsession and started playing out in clubs last year, with the push and support of his friends. Vigilante was quick to notice Andru’s immense talent and love for DJing and helped further his career in the scene. He’s played many different parties here in New York. He’s opened up for artists such as O.bee, Tomas Station., NuZau and Chktle. He’s also played alongside other New York local residents such as Nico Laa, Mike Bererdi, David Berrie, Chris Sanabria, GianPaul, KO, and the Archivio Records crew.

His passion and love for playing music is immensely captivating. His selections are always on point, energy always magnetic and his mixing will have you standing front row to watch him work.
